The Meet Up Experience has a habit of selling out, including twice in 2025, and for good reason. It’s more than an event; it’s a gathering place for abstinent Christians who are ready to experience community in real life.
Too often, abstinent Christians feel isolated, wondering if they’re the only ones committed to this lifestyle. If you’ve ever felt that way, you’re not alone, and you never were. The truth is, there’s an entire community walking the same path, simply spread across the world.
Each year, hundreds of attendees travel from different states and countries to gather in one space for three days, creating opportunities for meaningful friendships and potential romantic connections.
You don’t have to walk this journey alone. Your tribe is waiting. This is where you find them. The space and opportunity is being created for you. Will you take advantage of it by attending The Meet Up Experience?

DAY ONE
TRIBE CONNECTIONS
Friday | August 14th | 12pm-10pm
Day 1 of The Meet Up Experience is about making connections. This will be achieved through interactive sessions that will allow you to play, converse and worship with fellow attendees in an interactive manner. These sessions will have you up moving, laughing, and learning (maybe even crying). Are you an introvert or coming alone? Don't worry! The host will help facilitate interactions during the sessions.

DAY TWO
TRIBE SOCIAL
Saturday | August 15th | 2pm-8pm
Day 2 of The Meet Up Experience will be more of a free flow, allowing you to choose how you would like to continue socializing with fellow attendees. This is your opportunity to engage in conversation, hit the dance floor (featuring Christian hip-hop music) or have fun by playing cards and a variety of games.

DAY THREE
TRIBE WORSHIP
Sunday | August 16th | TBA-8pm
Day 3 gives you the opportunity to worship at a local church with The Tribe. A church will be recommended (recommended church details will be provided the week before The Meet Up Experience), or you can choose to attend a church of your choice with some newly made friends. After church, attendees will meet for lunch & fellowship.

Many people hesitate to attend The Meet Up Experience because they don’t have anyone to come with and that’s completely understandable. What most attendees don’t realize is that the majority of people arrive on their own. Yet time and time again, they leave with new friendships, meaningful connections, and a sense of belonging they didn’t expect. WHO IS THE MEET UP EXPERIENCE FOR?
The Meet Up Experience is for abstinent Christian men and women who are serious about their abstinence journey and looking to connect with a like-minded, faith-centered community.
IS THE MEET UP EXPERIENCE FOR BLACK PEOPLE ONLY?
IS THE MEET UP EXPERIENCE FOR BLACK PEOPLE ONLY?
No. The Meet Up Experience welcomes people of all races and ethnicities. It’s built around shared values and connection. We’ve had attendees from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds join us in previous years. Anyone who is Christian, committed to the journey, and looking for community is welcome to attend.
IS THE MEET UP EXPERIENCE A CONFERENCE?
No. The Meet Up Experience is intentionally designed as a social gathering, not a conference. The focus is on helping abstinent Christians build genuine community, connection, and friendships in an inviting, immersive environment rather than formal panels or lectures.
WHERE DO I FIND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE EVENT?
The official host hotel, venue's address and other information will be sent with your ticket confirmation. You can access this information by going to your ticket order confirmation email (sent via Eventbrite) and scroll down to the Additional Information section. The recommended church and official electronic Event Guide will be emailed at a later date.
HOW LONG WILL TICKETS BE ON SALE?
The Meet Up Experience tickets will be on sale until July 26, 2026, or until they sell out, whichever comes first. Tickets can be available for weeks or months. It simply depends on when they sell out. Get your ticket ASAP so that you don't have to worry about them selling out and/or you missing out.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
If you plan to sightsee, consider arriving on Thursday, August 13th and/or staying until Monday, August 17th.
WHAT IS THE AGE RANGE OF ATTENDEES?
There is no way to truly answer this as there are many living the abstinence lifestyle. People of all ages have attended The Meet Up Experience and enjoyed themselves. However, The Meet Up Experience is strictly 21+.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE ANYONE TO ATTEND THE MEET UP EXPERIENCE WITH?
Many attendees come solo and quickly connect with others. You can attend a Solo Traveler Meet & Greet before the event and start building connections early. You can also download The Sexless Tribe App, join TST Social, and connect with other tribe members who are attending.

IS THE MEET UP EXPERIENCE A MATCHMAKING EVENT?
The Meet Up Experience is community-focused. However, where there is community there are endless opportunities. Friendships, accountability partners, business and romantic connections are all possibilities & have all come to fruition after attending The Meet Up Experience. Even marriages!
ARE MEALS INCLUDED IN MY TICKET?
DAY 1 attendees will have the opportunity to purchase food from a variety of food trucks. For DAY 2, it is advised that you grab some friends and eat before attending Tribe Social as food will not be served. Day 3 attendees will meet for lunch where food can be purchased from various restaurants.
DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE LODGING?
Your ticket does not include lodging. However, we have a host hotel that will offer rooms at a discounted rate. The booking link will be included in your emailed ticket confirmation.
WHAT TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft, as well as renting a car through rental platforms such as Turo or traditional rental companies like Enterprise, Hertz, Budget, or Avis, are recommended for transportation during the weekend. We suggest booking your transportation from the airport to your lodging at least 30 days in advance to secure better availability and pricing.
CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE IF I ARRIVE LATE?
Yes. While we encourage arriving on time, late arrivals are still welcome and will be able to participate in the experience once they check in.
CAN I SELL MY TICKET TO SOMEONE ELSE?
Yes, you may sell your ticket to someone else. However, the ticket will remain in the original purchaser’s name. The t-shirt size selected at purchase will remain the same, and all event communication sent via email or text will continue to go to the original ticket holder’s email and/or phone number.

Friday: It's going to be a long day! You'll be sitting for long periods of time and you will be moving around a lot. So, you'll want to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Saturday: You'll want to take it up a notch. Women consider a casual dress, romper or pants & a cute blouse. The type of shoes are at your discretion. Wear whatever will make you feel cute yet comfortable. Seating is limited so you may be on your feet for long periods of time. Men consider a button up (no tie), or a polo with casual bottoms (i.e. joggers, khaki shorts, fitted denim etc.) You're going to be dancing and playing games, so you'll want to be comfortable. However, you'll also be taking photos and videos. You may even mingle with someone of the opposite sex that captures your attention. So, you want to be cute!

If you prefer not to wear the Tribe shirt, feel free to wear whatever makes you most comfortable. For lunch activities, we’ll continue in our Tribe shirts with comfortable bottoms and sneakers, as there may be opportunities to participate in light physical activities.

The Meet Up Experience is a 21+ event. Children are not allowed.

WILL ALCOHOL BE SERVED?
The Meet Up Experience prides itself on being a completely dry event, meaning no alcohol is served or allowed. The fun that is had can be attributed to the games, music and personalities of the attendees.
